  • hair dryer
  • heat resistant adhesive tape and Teflon sheet
  • imprintables - also known as substrates on which image is to be transferred (sublimation mug).

1. Image Designing

First, design a prefer image according to the size of Mug.

We have a special software is designed to most people's needs, it is easy operated and can save you much time but it will supply you many good templates.

2. Printing

Print the image on the sublimation paper by using the printer with sublimation inks.

Notice:

1). When printing, pay attention that the image to be printed and pressed on the Mug are mirrored images (Or we can say their left-to-right directions are opposite).

2). If the color is non-equal after printed, it is the problem of ink quality, not papers'.

3). If you found gear imprints after printed, it is because your printer is too old to turn flexibly. As the ink is mainly kept on the surface of paper, it will pull some imprints if the gear can’t turn flexibly. So, you should take some methods to solve it.

First, using different papers for printing, because different papers demands different amount of inks, so it is helpful to find the balance of paper and inkjet. Once the inkjet is small, it will dry quickly which will avoid gear imprints.

Second, you can use hair dryer for quickly drying when printing.

3. Drying

Dry the image with a hair dryer.

Note: Only the image has fully dried, then you can transfer the image on to the mug. Or else it will affect the quality of transferring.

4. Attaching the Image onto the Mug

Shear the image according to the mug’s size, put it straight and attach to the mug. Then stick to the mug by high resistant adhesive tape. Prepare to put them into the machine.

Note: You must use the heat resistant tape. If using the normal adhesive tape, after heating, it will be hard to clear the adhesive cement that sticks to the mug.

5. Adjusting the Pressure

1)Take the mug enclosed with image into the machine, and also put a teflon sheet between the mug and the heating pad.

2)Tighten the handle. Turn the knob of the pole setting until to the right pressure. It mustn't be too tight, or the mug and machine may break; not too loose, or the transferred image will not be clear. After adjusting the pressure, shut the handle.

Note: 1) You should put an old mug into the machine and adjust the pressure. When you have finished your adjusting, then put the mug to be printed into the machine. It can avoid breaking the mug during pressure adjusting.

2) Don’t switch on the power supply with no mug in, or the heating mat will be burnt.

6. Switching on the Power and Set Indications

1)Set temp indication ( or ),the max. working temp, heating time, heating ways (manual or automatic), etc.

2) After checking and confirming no errors, press “RUN” key and then the machine will enter into the assessed working process and the time begins counting down.

3) When the time is up, it beeps to remind you that the mug pressing operation is finished.

Note: 1. Reference parameters: working temp (374/190)

2. When pressing the mug, you’d better heat the mug with 104/40(or blow it with the hair dryer for a little while) before attaching the paper , as the inside of mug is usually wet, which will effect the printing quality.

7. Cooling

Turn off the power and then take out the mug.

Note: Don't put the mug aside, or else the upside of the image will come out vague and slack selvedge.

You should take some methods for the quickly cooling of the mug to guarantee the transferring quality. 1) Shaking it or using a hair dryer to guarantee the air flowing above the mug. 2) Adding some warm water in the mug can also speed up the heat dissipation.
