Optics Rubber Stamp Making Process

1. Printing:

Use inkjet or laser printer to print your own positive figure (black background and white figure) on the transparent film and cut it off with scissors.

The blacker you printed in the transparent film, the better exposure effect you will get.

2. Cutting:

Cut corresponding size photopolymer plate, tear off protecting film and make positive side of transparent film touching together with photopolymer plate. Open the shell, put them on the glass and heavy press on them.

3. Exposure:

Close the shell and press the red button to turn on the 110v/220v power. Then set the exposure time which depends on the materials of photosensitive plate and ultraviolet rays.

Reference Parameters: hard photosensitive plate - 120 seconds or so; soft photosensitive plate - 50 seconds or so.

4. Brushing:

After the exposure, put exposed photopolymer plate in the 104F(40 ¡æ) warm water, use hairbrush to get rid of unexposed part of plate until the figure appears vividly.

5. Twice Exposure:

Use a hairdryer or cloth to dry it ,then put it back to exposure unit for solidification about 6-10 mins.

6. Sticking and Stamping:

Cut off unwanted part, use Double Sides Adhesive Tape to stick it to the stamp holder, now you can stamp your figure everywhere.

Notes:

1.Always make several test prints before working on your final project. It helps you figure out the characteristics of that particular photosensitive plate.

2. Printing: The blacker you printed in the transparent film, the better exposure effect you will get.

3. Exposure: Make sure your materials of photosensitive plate and set the exposure time.

4. Brushing:

1) If the plate can¡¯t be brushed and washed vividly, or the partial font lines become wider and thicker, it indicates: either your exposure time is longer, just shorten it; or there are gaps or air bubbles between the photosensitive plate and the transparent film, just extrude them or put a heavy thing on them to make them connect tightly.

2) If some partial font lines are brushed and washed away, it indicates: either your exposure isn¡¯t enough, just extend the exposure time; or the font lines are a little thinner and your scrub force is excessive, then adjust the font lines or your scrub force.

3) You¡¯d better brush and wash the plate in a short time, 1-2 minutes or so; the brush should be not too soft and not too hard; Pay attention to your direction and force of brushing, you¡¯d better brush the plate in one direction but you can change the position by your hand.
