Squeegee |
Squeegee is also called scraper, it is one kind of tool that used to scratch the ink on the screen to make it leak to the substrate. Squeegee is made by the combination of scratching strip and handle, rubber blade is inserted into the wood handle and stapled in position, then professionally sharpened after assembly. Use for both graphic and textile applications, for all hand printing and many machine applications. |
Squeegee can be classified into either rubber or
metal type. The rubber squeegee can further be divided into square flat, and
sward type. Though it is not easy to judge which type is the best, squeegee
angle shall directly affect how the solder paste rolls across the stencil.
Proper rolling of the solder paste is essential to realize adequate filling into
each stencil aperture. A sward type normally has the angle around 70 80กใ. As the
down force is relatively week, it may be suitable for low viscosity solder
paste. A square squeegee has 45กใ and its filling pressure of solder paste into
the stencil apertures is high, it is suitable for high viscosity paste. If low
viscosity paste is applied for this type of squeegee printing, smearing would
occur. A flat squeegee, which has 50 60กใ, seems most popularly used one because
its angle adjustability provides wider adaptability for different kinds of
solder paste.

These squeegees are Kiln-dried and precision cut lumber is used for the no-warp handles, which are smooth, comfortably shaped and easy to handle, helping in eliminating any symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. Blades are molded under high heat and pressure and have a tensile strength of more than 2,000 lbs. This eliminates ink streaking and provides a superior long-lasting printing edge. |
